Rakhi Sawant goes into her second reality show from Wednesday. It’s a show about parenting with Rakhi and Elesh playing mother and father. 

There’s one hitch. Babies give Rakhi a headache. “I’ve a migraine problem. When a child cries I get a severe headache . I don’t know how I’ll manage for a month with a stranger’s child. On top of that I’ve to cook on the show. I can’t cook to save my life.” 

Ask her how she will cope when she has her own kids and Rakhi retorts, “Apna bachcha to har koi paal leta hai, jaanwar bhi. I don’t know how I’ll cope. I think I’m going to lose my cool completely. So far people have only seen the good Rakhi Sawant. Now they’ll see the real me. Elesh returned from his sister'swedding on Tuesday night. We enter the show from Wednesday. I don’t know how I’ll manage. This show is already giving me a headache. I can’t even use makeup. Can you imagine Rakhi Sawant without makeup?”

Rakhi was supposed to visit her reality-show fiancé Elesh’s home -town in Toronto. “But I couldn’t get a visa from the US to Canada. I had to really get pushed around for my US visa. It was impossible to get a visa from the US to Canada. Elesh’s family was very keen to have me over. They came for my Swayamvar all the way to Mumbai. And I couldn’t for for them. But no problem. As soon as my new reality show Pati Patni Aur Woh is over I’ll visit his family in Toronto with Elesh.” 

Rakhi says she’ll marry Elesh only when he becomes economically self sufficient. “It’s my life and a decision like marriage should be left to me only. Elesh may be the best person in the world. But he may not be be the best person for me.I don’t want him to be another Abhishek Awasthi in my life. Yes,we’re engaged. I like him a lot. But how can I hand over my life to someone who isn’t earning a proper living? That’s why we’re going on another reality show to see whether we’re really as compatible as we seemed on Rakhi Ka Swayamvar.I didn’t get enough time on him on that show. You and I saw his best face.Now I want to see the real Elesh.I want to marry a man who can support me. When we go to a restaurant he should pay the bill, not me. In India wives are supposed to be looked after by husbands, not vice versa. He has seen how I live. I don’t want him to come and stay in my house I want to live in his house. I will wait for him to afford a house.I will wait.” 

Rakhi is specially worried about Elesh accepting her sexy image. “On the internet they’ve morphed my face on naked bodies. Would Elesh be able to tolerate it? He’s broad-minded, yes. But God knows what he’d be like after marriage.” 

She bursts into tears. “Mere dil mein bahut taqleef hai. Will Elesh be able to support me financially? I don’t want him to be known as Rakhi Sawant’s husband. Mujhe waqt chahiye. I feel I’m stuck in a stormy ocean.I can’t climb the cross just to please public. I agree Elesh is educated and he comes from a wealthy family. But all of it belongs to his father. He has nothing of his own in Mumbai, not even a home. He needs time to settle down. In the meanwhile people are spreading dirty rumours about me. Ek insaan kitna bardaasht kare?” 

Rakhi is disgusted by singer Mika’s attempts to make mileage out of her name. “I’m really tired of people using my name. I don’t want to give such people more importance. I’ve learnt the hard way how to be dignified.Jesus has taught me to be calm. My good days are just beginning. Let me remind these publicity seekers that short cuts don’t get you anywhere.” 

Rakhi says she’s going through a lot of turmoil. “They are writing all kinds of things making up all kinds of quotes about Elesh on my behalf. They’re all taking advantage of me. I’m being used for publicity by so many people. Why are people doing these things with me? Jesus knows how much I’m suffering.” 

Speaking on her former boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi Rakhi says, “I still consider him my good friend. I hope and pray he finds a good girl to marry. If ever in life he needs me I’ll always be there. If needs me to be a dance partner in a reality show I’ll gladly do the needful. He has supported me a lot. I’ll always be thankful to him for getting my mother out of my life. That’s one good deed he did. If Abhishek hadn’t been there I’d have not had the courage to break away from my family. I’d have been wallowing in mud. Aaj Rakhi Swant nahin hoti. I’d have been something else. I can’t even say what I’d have been.” 

Rakhi thinks her good days have started. “I know Elesh is a decent guy. But is that enough? He has be financially independent. He needed a place and a face to latch on to, that’s why he came on the show. Abhishek Awasthi was so decent. But he was know as Rakhi’s boyfriend.”

Hrithik's New look in ‘Guzaarish’

The actor has grown long hair and beard for Bhansali's ‘Guzaarish’.Hrithik Roshan appeared recently at an event in a completely different avatar. The actor has grown long hair and beard for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Guzaarish’. He plays a paraplegic in the movie and acquires to have this particular look.

A source reveals, "Hrithik underwent training and met various paraplegic patients to get into the skin of his character. The actor is on the wheelchair for a major portion of the movie. He used to practice around in his house on the wheel chair and also had read and gone through booklets and guides which gave him information about the physical behavior of such patients."

Hrithik has grown his hair really long and also has his beard grown. While making public appearances he normally gels up his facial fuzz but has the long hair look.

"Neither Hrithik nor his director wanted to make use of any artificial hair. They wanted to have a natural look and one will see Hrithik with this look till the shooting is on for the movie," adds the source.

Deepika Targets Salman Khan

Deepika is keen to team up with Salman Khan despite sharing bad vibes with his girlfriend

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone might have kick-started her Bollywood career with Shah Rukh Khan and since then is known to be part of his inner circle, but she claims she is more than open to branch out and work with King Khan's arch enemy Salman Khan.

Deepika is keen to team up with Salman Khan despite sharing bad vibes with his girlfriend.

"I'm so new in the industry and I have been very lucky to have got the opportunity to work with the biggest names in the industry. I have worked with SRK, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan and now I would like to work with Salman," says Deepika, who is currently basking in the success of Love Aaj Kal.

She adds, "I feel Salman is a very honest person. He is genuine about what he feels and what I have read and known about him, he seems to be very caring."

Deepika admires AamirKhan too. "He has been extremely selective and it has worked so amazingly for him. I don't know whether he does it purposely or things turn out to be like that but he is a perfectionist."

Deepika might be game to talk about Sallu but she is not cool when it comes to talking about his girlfriend Katrina Kaif with whom she's been apparently sharing bad vibes. It's been reported that Deepika didn't approve of beau Ranbir Kapoor and Kat's growing bond on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and that she is responsible for the duo being no longer on talking terms.

"I wouldn't want to comment on Katrina," was her short and snappy reply when quizzed. But was her relationship shaky when rumours about Kat were on the rise? "Ranbir and I trust each other and we are going well. I realise that when there is no movie releasing people focus on other things and that people will even talk about personal things. All this used to affect me a lot before, it doesn't anymore."

Post their box-office bomb Chandni Chowk to China, ironically Deepika is now teaming up with Akshay Kumar for a comedy called Housefull. "I love the passion and drive that Akshay has. With him around, you get to learn a lot on the sets. I know our first film together didn't work out but there's nothing called an unlucky jodi," she says.

A Pakistani-American group s criticized US authorities for detaining famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.         A Pakistani-American group has criticized US authorities for detaining famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan at Newark International airport last week.

A statement issued by the Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) said that after the 9/11 terror attacks ‘lawful’ Muslim travelers were being unnecessarily subjected to ‘unfair’ inspections and interrogations.

“Since the terrorist attacks, lawful Muslim travelers have extensively been subjected to unfair inspections, intrusive secondary searches, excessive questioning based on their names and ethnicity,” The Nation quoted the statement, as saying.

“The PAKPAC believes that profiling people based on their race, religion, and origin is wrong and not the appropriate use of resources,” the statement added.

It said that the PAKPAC has already brought to attention the futility of interrogation procedures at US airports during various meetings with the Transport Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security officials.

My Name is Khan

After starring in a string of films that have the most improbable plotlines, Bollywood badshah Shahrukh Khan takes on the gritty, realistic side of cinema with My Name is Khan.

Nothing much was known about the plot but on Monday King Khan let slip a bit of information to the media about his new film. Shahrukh revealed that his character in My name is Khan is named Rizwaan Khan who is autistic Indian Muslim in the US. Unlike Yash Raj's latest New York, My name is Khan is not about cops and terrorists.

According to SRK, "My Name Is Khan is the most special film for both Karan Johar and me. And unlike the rumors, it’s not about terrorism, or 9/11. It’s about a relationship between two people, between an individual and the State, and between an individual and the country. In short, there the three important components: love story, Islam and a mild form of autism, which forms the core of MNIK."

But why the name 'Khan'? Couldn't director Karan Johar have picked an 'Ali' or a 'Salim'? Is King Khan promoting himself? SRK laughs saying, “Then I could have made My Name is Shah Rukh. Right? So, no, this is not a self-promotion vehicle. Please do not trivialize or deflect from the intention of the subject. The name of the Movie is relevant to the story that Karan and screenplay writer Shibani Bhatija have visualized.”

Although the movie is already is post production, My name is Khan hits cinemas in February 2010 and will be one of the biggest Bollywood releases ever. After last year's losing battle against Ghajini, King Khan did not wish to get in the way of Aamir's certified bonanza '3 Idiots'. Karan Johar's previous vehicle KANK did not exactly set the box office on fire, but My name is Khan certainly seems like a gargantuan hit.

Twilight star in Nude Pictures Scandal

Twilight star Ashley Greene is threatening to sue anyone posting nude photographs of her online.

The actress was celebrating a big win - ironically for the Fresh Face Female Award at last weekend's Teen Choice Awards - when the revealing shots first appeared on Monday morning. In a bid to stop the candid snaps, which feature one full frontal photograph, from spreading, the furious star's lawyer is warning websites against posting the pictures. A statement from her legal representative reads: "The photos in question, which appear to be of our client, are illegal and are being unlawfully displayed. Our client intends to take legal action."

The attorney tells PerezHilton: "Ms. Greene is the owner of the copyrights in these photos, and, as copyright owner, Ms. Greene owns the exclusive rights, among others, to reproduce, distribute, and to display the photos." The 22-year-old is the latest star to become embroiled in a naked photo scandal - last week High School Musical star VANESSA HUDGENS was left red-faced after a set of saucy snaps surfaced online.

It marked the second time in two years the actress had been embarrassed by candid snaps. 'New Moon' has a massive star cast, including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Dakota Fanning, Taylor Lautner, Rachelle Lefèvre, Michael Sheen, Jamie Campbell Bower and Noot Sear. With much higher production values than last year's Twilight, 'New Moon' is set to break dozens of records when it hits theaters on November 20.

'New Moon' has been in some controversy lately, after reports of its screenplay found in a trash can, and an apparent leak on Twitter. Rumours are abuzz of co stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's off screen romance.

Salman sings promotional song in ‘Wanted Dead And Alive’.

He is an actor, painter, scriptwriter and now, Sallu is all set to embark on a singing career. According to insiders, the actor has remarkable singing talent and has lent his vocal chords for a special promotional song in ‘Wanted Dead And Alive’.

The film, directed by Boney Kapoor, will see Salman Khan crooning a special number that is being touted as the USP of the flick. The number has music by Sajid-Wajid, the composer duo, who share warm vibes with Salman. Reportedly, the lyrics of the song have been penned by Salman, who incorporated some dialogues from the film while writing the song.

Sajid and Wajid, have always appreciated the music sense of the actor and they jumped into the idea of using the actor’s skills as a singer. According to sources, the peppy number has more than 100 sounds and uplifting tempo of 140 beats per minute. Moreover, Sajid says, “Salman sung the song so well that he managed to catch a very high pitch, something that’s not normal for first-time singers.”

“The song is indeed a special part of 'Wanted'. We wanted to make something 'dhamakedaar' for Salman bhai and the idea was to have a track that gives audiences a taste of what the film is all about. This is why you don't just hear Salman bhai mouthing a few dialogues from the film but also singing in the true sense," Wajid said.

The song begins with now-famous dialogue, "Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di....." and packs in a lot more such one-liners. However, Salman’s contribution to the songs is not restricted to just dialogues. “Other than the dialogues, Salman bhai is heard singing ‘Teri yaad satati hai’ as a part of it. He has got the feeling of pain spot on. The genre of the song dictated that he sing in a laidback tone and he has done that perfectly fine,” said Wajid.

Rakhi's Swayamvar : India's most watched TV show

MUMBAI: Rakhi Sawant, the outspoken, wannabe-bride on NDTV Imagine has not only managed to select her groom on television, but has also achieved in garnering the maximum ratings for any reality show in last two years.

As per Tam data, the grand finale of Rakhi Ka Swayamvar Faisle Ki Raat, which was aired live on 2 August from 9-11.30 pm, fetched a whopping TVR of 8.4 for the channel.

The viewers remained captivated by Rakhi and her tantrums to make the finale the top rated show among the Hindi GECs (general entertainment channels) during the week. It also helped the channel to notch a total of 141 GRPs in the week ended 2 August.

Rakhi Ka Swayamvar had been into controversies from the very beginning. While on one hand, there was Rakhi selecting and rejecting perspective contestants as per her whims and fancies, there were news channels on the other hand trying to create scoops out of the show.

It is pertinent to note here that News24 conducted a sting operation, saying that the show was rigged, ultimately helping the property to garner more eyeballs.

Rakhi Ka Swayamvar that hit the television screen on 29 June witnessed the best non-fiction opening with a TVR of 4.1, till Sach Ka Saamna launched on Star Plus. But the show did what it was created for. It gave NDTV Imagine a major upward push. The channel which was hovering around the 100 GRP (gross rating points) mark on a weekly basis, before the launch of the show, zoomed up by over 25 GRPs per week.

Overall, the show that was spread over a 6-week span fared an average of 2.8 TVR.

On a week-on-week basis, the show managed an average TVR of 2.8 in its first week. The ratings dipped slightly in the second week (2.3 TVR) but as word of mouth about Rakhi's hunt for a dulha spread, the ratings soared higher. However, after an average of more than 3 TVR for two consecutive weeks, the three remaining contestants and Rakhi lost some of the charm as average rating slumped to 1.5 TVR in the fifth week.

The final week (average 5.9 TVR) saw two major events in the show, Mehendi Sangeet on 1 August (3.4 TVR) and the finale, where she picked NRI Elesh Parujanwala as her to-be groom.

And now, the channel has decided to milk all the publicity around the couple, and has roped in them to contest in their upcoming reality show, Pati Patni or Woh, which is adaption of international format show Baby Borrowers. BBC Worldwide, which holds the rights of the show is producing it for the channel.
