Kunal is her new man in Soha Ali khan's Life

Mumbai, Oct 15: After rocking the nation with her outstanding performances in ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ the Pataudi lass was in news for her affair with her ‘RDB’ co-star Siddharth and then a subsequent break-up. But, looks like she’s managed to come out of the trauma a bit too early. The beauty was recently spotted getting intimate with Kunal Khemu!

Whatever happened to her live-in -beau Siddharth. Well he’s a past now for sure.

Soha and Kunal recently spotted together at the screening of, ‘The Journey to the Center of the Earth’. The two were apparently engrossed in each other and were in absolute high spirits. Post her break-up with ‘Rang De Basanti’ actor Siddharth, Soha Ali Khan is out to find love again.

Grapevine has it that Soha was walking hand-in-hand with Kunal. A news daily quoted an onlooker as saying, “An official tried to click pictures of Soha and Kunal together, but they made a hasty retreat before they could be caught hanging out together.”

Well, now that’s too much She is now seeing Kunal Khemu. According to an onlooker, the young couple looked happy together during the screening of The Journey to the Center of the Earth held in Mumbai recently.

So where did the two meet?

Well, it all happened on the sets of their upcoming flick ‘Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge’ and later shot together for ‘99’. From friendship to now a supposed ‘affair’.

However, in an interview to a news daily Soha treated the news as only good for laughs.

“Yes, we did go to see a film a few weeks ago with a few friends. We worked together in ‘Dhoondte...’ and are working together once again in ‘99’. Of course, we are friends! I am lucky to be working with Kunal, he’s the most talented young actor in the film industry.”

So what does Kunal have to say about the link-up, “Yes, Soha and I are great friends and we do go out together. We share an excellent rapport. What’s the harm in that? People are going to talk about two stars doing two films together. I don’t want to say anything beyond that.”

No confessions yet but they certainly dropped us a hint there, well that enough fodder for us to feed on!

Review : Mumbai Meri Jaan

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that Mumbai is known for its fighting spirit and that’s what the people of the city showed when the serial train blasts on July 11, 2006 threatened to break that spirit.

And that’s what Nishikant Kamat’s Mumbai Meri Jaan seeks to show through the lives of five characters in the aftermath of the blasts. Paresh Rawal, who plays one of the central figures, believes that the crux of the story comes from the belief that pain and loss are there but one can’t succumb to it. “Life goes on,” he says and adds, “It’s a message to the terrorists that people of India are strong and will not get bogged down by such tragedies. The truth is that no country can be run by terrorists. It’s an exercise in futility.”

Agrees Soha Ali Khan, who plays a hard news television reporter, whose fiance dies in one of the blasts. “Terrorism doesn’t discriminate against caste, creed, religion, cities. It can happen anywhere and that’s what is so frightening,” she says. Soha believes this film will make people sit up and think “but it’s not a preachy film. It has great dialogues and is immensely watchable,” she adds. But how would a person from, say Delhi or Bangalore or West Bengal can identify with something that happened in Mumbai? “This film is not just about the city, it’s about people and how they cope with a tragedy. The theme is universal,” clarifies Irrfan Khan who adds, “Plus in today’s times, you can’t seclude yourself and say that terrorism is India’s problem or America’s problem or Iraq’a problem.”

Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO UTV Motion Pictures could not be more pleased about being associated with this film. “We’re very proud of this film. In fact, I can say it’s at par with some of the best movies that have dealt with the issue of terrorism.”
