Shiney Ahuja raped his maid : NCW chief

NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja's 18-year-old domestic help has categorically stated she was raped by him, the National Commission for
Women (NCW) chief said here on Saturday.

"When we had talked to the girl in Mumbai, she had categorically stated that she was raped," Girija Vyas told reporters here.

Asked about Shiney's statement that he had "consensual sex" with the maid, the NCW chief said: "Even the medical and the DNA reports proved that she was raped. But now I cannot say anything as the case is in court."

The actor had Friday said in court that he had consensual sex with his maid and argued that the rape charge was a conspiracy to extort money from him. The actor was arrested after the victim alleged he raped her June 14.

Earlier, police said DNA test reports confirmed that Shiney had sex with his domestic help. The police had said the DNA samples of the accused matched the samples taken from the victim, who also suffered scratch marks on her body.

An NCW team, including Vyas, had rushed to Mumbai and met all the parties concerned, including the victim and her family members. Following the visit, Mumbai chief minister Ashok Chavan had announced that the Shiney Ahuja rape case would be transferred to a fast track court soon.

Priyanka Chopra clean bowled Sreesanth!

A cricket match always begins with a toss. And Priyanka Chopra's love life with Harmaan Baweja seems to have gone just that way – for a toss. We are hearing lesser and lesser of this 'match', and more and more of Priyanka's 'partnership' with cricketers!

The 'series' of relationships...it all began during the India's first T20 series against Australia, being played on Indian soil. Team India was in Mumbai then, while Priyanka was shooting for Drona in Namibia. The actress was to fly out to Malaysia, but surprisingly came down to Mumbai for a day. And instead of going home, headed straight to the Taj hotel were the Boys in Blue were put up.

At least that's what we were told.

It was when Priyanka was spotted at the hotel that rumours of her and MS Dhoni first surfaced. India's skipper was acknowledged for his batting and first stint of captaincy, and the actress was so impressed that she was left 'batting' her eyelids.

Now rumours about a 'partnership' between Sreesanth and Priyanka are doing the rounds. Apparently, it's the lovely Chopra girl that has bowled the cricketer over this time round. How did the news get out? The media (including us), got hold of a copy of a recorded telephonic conversation between a cricketer (alleged to be Sreesanth) and Priyanka Chopra. In the convo, the cricketer has expressed to Priyanka how he constantly thinks about her, and how thoughts of her have driven him quite crazy. Sounds like the cricketer is absolutely 'stumped' and completely 'bowled over' by the maiden.

We don't know how strong this wicket is, and the 'pitch' from Priyanka's viewpoint may not yet be ready. In the meantime, Sreesanth has called for a press conference this evening, and we're sure he's going to appeal, claiming the allegiance and evidence to be a 'wrong decision' of sorts, and in fact a 'no ball' that cannot be counted.

Meanwhile, Aditya's family is said to be not too happy with the decision. They get along so well with Payal Khanna but Aditya is adamant to divorce his wife.

The Bollywood is famous for all sorts of rumors and some of them prove to be true, and it may be one of them that Aditya wants to marry Rani and both of them are supposed to be in love with each other and that’s the reason of break of Aditya’s marriage.

No wedding 'yet' for French President Nicolas Sarkozy and ladylove Carla Bruni

Former supermodel Carla Bruni has dismissed speculations that she had tied a knot in secret with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

The 40-year-old Italian singer told a newspaper that they were "not yet married" but were planning to do so, reports Usmagazine.com.

Sarkozy had recently indicated at a news conference that he would marry Bruni and added that the media would probably find out about it after the event.

However, a regional daily L'Est Republicain had revealed that pair had wed in private.

4 January 2008 (Sawf News) - After paying a quiet visit to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi Wednesday, Jaunary 2, to pay obeisance to Lord Ganesh, Bollywood's doe eyed hottie Deepika Padukone jetted off to Australia later that day.

On her visit to Siddhivinayak, Deepika was accompanied by her father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha, reports TOI.

In Australia, Deepika will be filming for Yash Raj Film's next directed by Siddharth Anand in which she is paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor along with Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Minissha Lamba.

Deepika has reportedly dated Ranbir Kapoor in the past. Ranbir
is now dating Sonam Kapoor and Deepika is now dating cricketer Yuvraj Singh.

Incidentally, Yuvraj is currently in Australia, along with the touring Indian cricket team!

The question is not if Yuvraj and Deepika will link up in Australia but when.

Sunday, Janauary 5, could be a good time because that is the day Deepika turns 22!

Shilpa Shetty has admitted that she is in a relationship with 32-year-old London-based millionaire Raj Kundra.

Shilpa had recently confirmed to a London daily that she is indeed dating someone and that she has known him for some time now.

The duo was previously in news when Kundra's former wife Kavita accused Shilpa Shetty of breaking up their marriage. The Bollywood star denies the accusation.

Shilpa and Kundra were first spotted publicly at the London launch of her perfume, back in June and then again at the IIFA awards in Leeds.

Kundra is an entrepreneur with jewellery and film businesses in london and India.

Earlier,Shilpa was quoted by news agency PTI as saying that she was being unnecessarily dragged into the mess that Kundra's marriage had become and that she was considering taking legal action against Kundra's wife for tarnishing her image.

According to onlookers Shahid and Sania very much looked like a couple. They were completely engrossed in each other, and were oblivious of what was happening around them.
